Our turkeys at Sweet Olive Farm are the funniest and most entertaining of our rescued farm animals, bringing snoodles of personality to the pasture.
They are very social animals, and they follow us around in a flock, clucking and purring. The males ruffle their feathers and strut, puffing their plumage, all while making the most musical noises (click to listen).
Ben Franklin wanted to use the turkey as our national symbol rather than the Bald Eagle, and we understand why!
